I remember growing up and going here a lot for field trips, youth group outings, or just hanging out with friends and playing putt-putt on the weekends. Once we seemed to get over the problems of our visit, the kids had fun.Ĭelebration Station has been a fixture in Baton Rouge since at least I was a kid. Not bad! Due to the staff not gassing up all the cars, my son got one lap around the track and was told 'no refunds.' A manager was nice enough to allow him three rides for the laps he missed. Lit, clean, and well-organized with three courses ranging from easy to difficult. My kids went to the go-karts while my husband and I played mini golf. Every activity is put on a separate card, which means you have to remember what activity is what. The lines were slow with one person running the register. Unfortunately, the ticket counter shares it's space with the restaurant, which is inconvenient for those not eating. It needs to be updated inside and expanded. The place has definitely been around awhile. After finally making our way to Celebration Station, we were happy to note that they were going to be open until 11 pm when the website said 6 pm. BUT, we went on a Friday and traffic got us there an hour late. The experience was very off-putting.I researched a lot of options about where my kids could go let off a little steam during Spring Break.

I will not be staying at a Super 8 or any other Wyndham hotel again. I know it is included but at least make an effort to have a choice. Sad and disappointing doesn't quite capture it. The hotel advertised that they had breakfast but on one of the days, the breakfast was just coffee. While I was there, I could not tell if the sheets were changed daily. I'm not sure how old the mattress was but every time I moved around I could feel the individual springs compress. I could see daylight through the door gap. It didn't matter how much a tried to adjust the door, I couldn't get the deadbolt to latch. The tile for the bathroom felt unclean to the touch. The carpet still had the same dirty floor as the previous room. I had the room changed to what I thought would've been a better room but it was only marginally better. The fan would run but the air would never cool down. The carpet felt dirty to the point of where I did not feel comfortable taking my socks off. The first room I had a smell of stale cigarettes that had permeated everything. The bedside was missing a lightbulb and the shower head loose and spraying all over in spite of tightening.… Don’t get me started on the mystery orange liquid stuff in a pitcher. I don’t count a waffle maker with nothing to put on it as even toast. Nor do they provide breakfast (in spite of “breakfast included” advertised). I had to use the fridge since the hotel provides no ice otherwise. Sorry to the next resident who will get a huge puddle of water when they open it. The fridge was almost half ice, so I turned it completely off to defrost it at checkout. The biggest inconvenience, as you know, was that the sink faucet was completely detached from the counter and had to be held in place to operate the handle. I easily rinsed off the A/C filter which was not too dirty. The room was spacious for me alone and pretty clean.

On the plus side: I did have my own extra pillow and earplugs available to get a peaceful night’s sleep on the noisy interstate side of the motel.

(It's better) Hi guys, you probably knew what was wrong with the room before I got in there, given how eager your staff were to enter my room with master keys while I was still leaving. The biggest value detriment was the lack of advertised breakfast which I picked up at local McDonald's anyway.
